December 8 – 30, 2012 over 360,000 people experienced the 25th annual Christmas at Canada Place.

For 2012 along our outdoor promenade and throughout the city, Canada Place brought families the best in Christmas cheer – all in support of Strathcona Community Centre's Food Security for Children Program. Christmas at Canada Place had something for everyone:

The Christmas Trail

At Canada Place you found the magical  Christmas Trail including five of the Woodward’s Windows displays, an avenue of decorated Christmas trees, The Christmas Workshop, Sails of Light, beautiful decor and more.

The Christmas Workshop

The Christmas Workshop was a beautifully decorated outdoor tent featuring festive craft activities by Create A Craft Events, seasonal storytelling by Pangaea Arts, face painting by Marie-Helene Babin, complimentary hot chocolate, and more.

  • Additional yuletide displays and more nostalgia and tradition of the Woodward’s Windows at Bentall One, Three, Four and Five, and Woodward's Food Floor by Nesters Market in the Gastown Woodward’s building
  • Sails of Light on our spectacular 90 foot sails - a festive display of colour, vivid design and holiday spirit
  • 2 Breakfast with Santa events on December 15 or 16, 2012

Community Support

Christmas at Canada Place proceeds were donated to Strathcona Community Centre's Food Security for Children, an essential program that helps to feed children on Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Canada Place collected donations onsite to help raise funds and awareness for our longstanding partner.
