December 13 - 31*, 2014

*Closed December 24 & 25

12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily, FREE admission

Join us this holiday season for the 27th annual Christmas at Canada Place, presented by Port Metro Vancouver. It’s all taking place outdoors along The Canadian Trail (Canada Place West Promenade) from December 13 - 31, 2014. Make an onsite donation to Strathcona Community Centre’s Food Security for Children Program and receive your free Canada Place commemorative pin! Come down to this year’s Christmas at Canada Place to enjoy the following:

Historic Woodward’s Windows*
The Woodward’s Windows are a treasured part of Vancouver’s history. Originally displayed in the popular Woodward’s department store, the windows featured classic holiday scenes with animated characters and elaborate decor. Handcrafted in the 1960s, the displays included The Candlestick Factory, Santa’s Workshop and The Lamplighter. Following the closure of the Woodward’s department store, Canada Place purchased the displays in 1993 and has continued to incorporate them into the Christmas at Canada Place experience.  The Woodward’s Windows offer nostalgia for those who remember seeing them displayed in the store and excitement for those seeing them for the first time.  *The Woodward's Windows will be on display daily from December 13 - 31 (including December 24 & 25) from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. daily.

Our partnership and commitment to Strathcona Community Centre’s Food Security for Children Program continues. This initiative funds food for afterschool care programs, youth cooking programs and day camps.  Wholesome snacks and meals are prepared to ensure that the children and youth have full stomachs for full participation and healthy development.

Don’t forget to visit FlyOver Canada for more family Christmas fun.

*Please note that due to renovations, this year’s event will not be taking place inside the cruise ship terminal as it did in 2013. The skating rink and holiday train experiences will not be featured in light of this change in location.
